Senior Care Owner Enters Receivership/Two Rivers

A Wood County judge has ordered an attorney to keep 32 senior care facilities in Wisconsin, including one in the lakeshore area, open & running while the owner seeks a new operator for the struggling business.  Atrium Health and Senior Living, which operates skilled-nursing & assisted living centers throughout the state, announced late last week it reached an agreement with its’ lender to enter into receivership, a sign the company is unable to pay its’ debts and risks liquidation. Atrium has assisted living and senior living facilities in Two Rivers, Kewaunee and Chilton.  Atrium officials did not immediately respond to questions about the company’s financial condition. The receivership action will enable the nursing homes and assisted living communities to continue operating and ensure that residents receive uninterrupted care.
