Grant County authorities say a deputy was trying to clear hay off a roadway Saturday morning when he was hit by a car. The incident happened at about 2:25 A-M on Highway 151 in the Town of Jamestown. Investigators say 28-year-old Paige Rice drove her Honda into the back of the deputy’s squad car, causing minor injuries. He was taken to an area hospital and his name hasn’t been released. Rice was arrested for operating while intoxicated causing injury.
