Salvation Army of Manitowoc Announces Sign Up Dates For Coats For Kids & Christmas Toy Shop

The Salvation Army Manitowoc County announces intake (sign up) dates for Coats for Kids and the Christmas Toy Shop. Sign up qualifies families to participate in both programs. “Parents or guardians are asked to bring in a photo ID, proof of income and proof of all family members living in the household”, stated Lisa Stricklin, Program and Outreach Director. Dates and times are as listed: September 24, 9 AM-noon, September 25, 9 AM-5PM, September 27, 9 AM-noon, October 16^, 9 AM-noon. “We strongly encourage families to sign up as soon as possible to help us plan for the number of coats and toys that will be needed and to provide the best selection for them”, stated Stricklin. The location for sign up and both distributions is at the Salvation Army of Manitowoc County located at 415 N 6th Street. Coat Distribution Day  will be October 27 — By appointment given at the time you register. The Christmas Toy Shop will run December 11-13 (by appointment). The Salvation Army asks that families do not bring children to the Christmas Toy Shop, including infants, due to parents “shopping” for their children. Children are encouraged to come to Coat Distrubition Day so they can try on their coats for size.
