A scheme to steal millions of dollars from a scrap metal buying business has resulted in the schemer going to prison for 11 years. Prosecutors say Sterling W. Keinbaum would load the vehicles he used to carry the scrap metal with dirt before they were weighed. The owner of Sadoff Iron and Metal Company in Fond du Lac paid millions for dirt over a six-year period. Two workers were in on the crime. Keinbaum was found guilty of racketeering and felony theft and he was ordered to pay six-million dollars in restitution.
