Brown County Labels September as Recovery Month

September in Brown County is soon to be known as Recovery Month. Brown County Executive Troy Streckenbach, Green Bay Mayor Jim Schmitt and De Pere Mayor Mike Walsh will be issuing a joint proclamation at 12:45 PM. The three municipal leaders will discuss the background and the need for raising awareness around mental and substance use disorders and the societal benefits of recovery. This is part of a national campaign sponsored by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) to increase awareness and understanding of these rising issues.
