A Manitowoc man was taken into police custody after the owner of a vehicle he was attempting to burglarize chased him down and put him in a chokehold. It all went down on the 1200 block of South 7th Street just before 10:00 PM on Tuesday. The person reporting the incident told police that she had witnessed a physical altercation outside her home. Upon arrival, police found a man on top of 22 year old Corbin J. Schuetze, and noticed a broken fence and bottle nearby. The man told the officers that he was leaving for work, and saw Schuetze in his car. Schuetze then took off, but was caught by the car owner. This is the second time this month Schuetze has been arrested trying to burglarize a car. A similar incident happened on August 20th. He is now facing charges of felony bail jumping, disorderly conduct and four counts of possessing illegally obtained prescription.
