Green Bay police say southbound lanes of I-43 from University Avenue to East Mason Street, remain closed this morning after a crash. According to police, a car struck a pedestrian who was either walking in the traffic lane, or on the shoulder of I-43, about 5:45am. The male was killed and officers are still investigating the incident. Motorists traveling in that stretch of Brown County were advised to take an alternate route of going east on Wisconsin 54/57 to County EA, south to Mason Street and back to I-43. It’s not known when the interstate will be re-opened.
