As we reported last week, there are a couple of road closures going on this week in Manitowoc. The reconstruction of Calumet Avenue from I-43 around 200 feet east of South Rapids Road will begin tomorrow. There will be one lane of traffic running in both directions. That project is expected to be completed by October 31st. Also, South 8th Street between Jay and Franklin Streets will also be reduced to a single lane all week. This is to accommodate the Manitowoc Public Utilities electrical work taking place at the intersection of South 8th and Franklin. The project is expected to be done, and traffic reopened by noon on Friday.
