Manure Spill Threatens Sheboygan River

The DNR was informed of a manure spill on Wednesday, which is affecting creeks in the Malone and Mt Calvary areas of Fond du Lac. The tainted water has reached the canoe launch located at County CCC and the Sheboygan River, and warning signs have since been posted. Citizens are being warned to avoid interacting with the water due to the e-Coli concerns connected to the contamination. Fish have been reported dead in that area, mainly minnow species. Clean up will likely take several days yet.
