The fifth and final Walk to Defeat ALS will be taking place Saturday morning. Tina Kocourek has been in charge of the event since its inception back in 2013.
They will also be selling chance to win tickets, $5 per or five for $20. The winner of that drawing will win either 1,000, $500, a $55 inch big screen TV or, as Tina described it, a wheelbarrow of booze. The items were donated, not only by individuals interested in helping the cause, but also several businesses.
Tina estimates that there are over 200 names lining the fence at Timeout. These incredible donors, along with all the people participating in the walk have helped Tina raise over $100,000 over the past four years of running the event. We asked Tina why this year will be her final year.
