The reconstruction of Calumet Ave. from approximately 200 feet east of S. Rapids Rd. to the I-43 Northbound On-Off Ramps will start on Tuesday, August 28th.
Vinton Construction Company will be the prime contractor for the project.
During construction, one lane of traffic in each direction will be maintained at all times.
It is anticipated that the entire reconstruction project will be completed by October 31st.
In addition, beginning on Tuesday, September 4th, access to S. Rapids Rd. at Calumet Ave. will be closed. Southbound traffic on S. Rapids Rd. will be detoured onto Dewey St. and back over to Calumet Ave.
Traffic needing to use S. Rapids Rd. going northbound will be detoured onto eastbound Calumet Ave. to Dewey St. and then north/west on Dewey St. back to S. Rapids Rd.
