According to the Manitowoc Police Department Facebook page, two citizens are giving of themselves to cover up the graffiti that was found on the newly renovated lighthouse. Gus Gospdarek of Hallman Lindsay Paints of Manitowoc and Dale Elliott of Elliott Painting Service in Whitelaw are graciously stepping up and donating their time and materials to repair the lighthouse. The MPD praised the duo, saying “We greatly appreciate their willingness to assist in this project, and keep our beacon shining beautifully.”
