***UPDATE: Manitowoc police has located the dog and its’ owner
Manitowoc police are asking for your help in locating the owner of a dog that bit-a-child in the face late yesterday afternoon. The incident occurred about 4:30 at Union Park, 611 Park Street. Police Captain Matt Wallander said the animal is described as a black and brown small dog with white spot, possibly a terrier or beagle-type breed. The owner was a female in her 40’s with purplish/red hair and is believed to reside in that area because she’s been seen around Union Park before. Without proof of rabies vaccination, the child may need further medical treatment. Anyone with information about this incident is encouraged to call the Manitowoc Police Department at 686-6551.
