The state Department of Workforce Development reported today (Thursday) that Wisconsin’s unemployment rate was two-point-nine percent in July, marking the sixth straight month the state’s unemployment rate has been under three percent. State workforce officials say Wisconsin added 91-hundred private-sector jobs between June and July. Prior to last year, Wisconsin’s unemployment rate never dropped below three percent. The record was set in April when it dropped to two-point-eight percent.
