Racine County authorities are charging a caregiver with leaving an autistic woman in a super-heated, locked van while she went to a salon. Burlington police say the temperature in that van reached 109 degrees while 35-year-old Bridget Flynn was having a waxing procedure done. Witnesses told officers the 26-year-old disabled woman in the van had been there for 30 minutes. When Flynn came out of the salon and approached the van she told police she had stopped to use the bathroom and wasn’t gone very long. Flynn returns to court next month to face charges of recklessly endangering safety, false imprisonment, obstructing an officer and neglecting a patient.
