Madison Woman Facing Charges After 15-Year-Old Accidentally Shoots Herself

A Madison woman faces charges after a 15-year-old girl accidentally shot herself to death in a car last June.  Eighteen-year-old Sarae A. Barr is charged with giving a dangerous weapon to a person under the age of 18 causing death.  A witness says the younger girl took a handgun out of Barr’s backpack while sitting in the backseat.  The gun went off, hitting Amariah C. Kimbrew in the head, fatally wounding her.  The witness says Barr grabbed the gun and ran around the corner of a convenience store, then left.  The handgun was later recovered from a dumpster at the store.
