Madison city officials say a new program which lowers the price of city bonds will open the door for residents who want the investment opportunity. It means people could invest in a specific project, like the renovation and expansion of Olbrich Botanical Gardens. The new price of the mini-bond issuance later this year will be 500-dollars. A little over two-million dollars worth of bonds will be available. Interest rates will be established in the fall, with the sale taking place in October.
