A Monroe County judge has decided there is enough evidence that a man should go to trial for allegedly making terroristic threats. Benjamin Sidie was actually in Des Moines, Iowa, when he made the call which led the Sparta School District to shut down its graduation ceremony last May. Sidie made a court appearance earlier this week and entered a plea of not guilty. School resource officer Kyle Seubert defended the decision to call off the ceremony, saying even if Sidie was in Iowa, there was time for him to drive to Sparta before the graduation ceremony was to be held.
