The Wisconsin Department of Justice has announced two more schools in the city of Manitowoc will receive grant funding through the School Safety grant program. According to 25th district State Representative Paul Tittl of Manitowoc Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Grade School is in Line for $15,749 and Saint John’s Evangelical Lutheran School will get $16,809. Assemblyman Tittl issued a statement saying, “Schools in our community are seeing real results in response to potential safety threats at places of learning. He added, this funding will update school infrastructure, equip staff and protect our most vulnerable.” So far over 600 schools and districts in the Badger state have been awarded $44.2 million dollars from the DOJ’s Office of School Safety. If schools are interested in applying for the second round of funding, they need to complete an intent to apply and submit it to the Office of School Safety by August 13th.
