A Marathon County judge has decided there is enough evidence to take a felony hit-and-run case to trial. Twenty-seven-year-old Josie Romero reportedly told her sister she looked down to find her cell phone while driving and accidentally hit a pedestrian. Romero failed to stop. The July 19th accident left 22-year-old Molly Viehweg in a hospital in critical condition. Romero entered a not guilty plea during a Wednesday morning hearing. Friends have raised more than 18-thousand dollars to help cover the cost of Viehweg’s medical care.
