Madison police say they had to administer four does of naloxone to save the life of a man in a car who was suffering from a heroin overdose. That man and his companion will be charged with drug possession. Their names haven’t been released. Police say a patrolling officer came up behind a car seemingly parked in a traffic lane shortly before 11:30 P-M Wednesday. A man in the car wasn’t breathing. While life-saving efforts revived the overdose victim, the driver of the car ran away, but he was captured quickly.
