Two people riding a motorcycle were injured Monday when they hit a deer as it ran onto the road in Vernon County. Deputies say the accident happened on Highway 33 in the Town of Hillsboro during the noon hour. Thomas and Carrie Ellis of Cedarburg were treated for injuries not thought to be life-threatening at Gundersen St. Joseph’s Hospital. Accident investigators say the motorcycle went out of control after hitting the deer, ejecting both riders.
