Nicolet High School in Glendale appears to be trying to build up a basketball powerhouse. It was announced today that Jalen Johnson and his younger brother Kobe will be transfering there from Sun Prairie. Jalen Johnson, an incoming junior forward, averaged 19 points and 10 rebounds per game for Sun Prairie. He is being heavily recruited by major college programs including Wisconsin, Duke, North Carolina, Arizona, Kansas, UCLA, and West Virginia. Sun Prairie made it to the Division One State Tournament last season for the first time. Kobe Johnson played sparingly as a freshman last year.
Nicolet had already picked up an important transfer in the off-season, bringing guard Desmond Polk from New Berlin West to Niclolet. He is also being heavily recruited. The knights will also be returning three of their top five scorers from last season.
