The Wisconsin Republican reacted to Trump administration plans to spend 12-billion dollars helping farmers hurt by the president’s trade disputes with China and other American trading partners. Johnson says the country’s approach is “becoming more and more like a Soviet-type of economy.” He and Democratic U-S Senator Tammy Baldwin have both sent letters to the White House criticizing how the president’s tariffs are hurting Wisconsin farmers and businesses.
