The Trempealeau County Sheriff’s Office says an 11-year-old child is back with his family after a police dog and officers found the boy. Trempealeau County Sheriff Richard Anderson recognized the police dog named Leo, his handler Sergeant Travis McDonah and Deputy Joel Dregney for locating the lost child near Eleva Thursday. Deputies say the child got lost Thursday evening after arguing with family members and leaving the house in an unfamiliar area. Nearly two hours later, the police dog Leo was deployed and successfully tracked him within 15 minutes in the pouring rain. The child was unhurt and returned to his family.
