A 17 year old Manitowoc Teen has been taken into Police custody after he was involved in a fight, where a gun was fired into the air. Police responded to the Southfield Townhouses in the 2600 block of South 21st Street at around 11:30 Sunday evening after receiving a report of a large fight, in which a gun may have been fired into the air. Police began to interview those on the scene, including Arehl Hunter, who admitted to being involved in the scuffle, but claimed to have never touched the gun. Multiple droplets of “red fluid” were found by the investigating officers as well as a spent .40 caliber casing, and the handgun believed to have been involved, but no gunshot victims were located. Officers are recommending Hunter be charged with party to a crime reckless endangering safety and obstructing an officer.
