A 20-year-old Madison man has been arrested for firing his handgun into the area while he was driving through a residential neighborhood. Witnesses called police at about 6:00 P-M Sunday. They said children were playing outside at the time they heard gunshots and they gave police a good description of the suspect vehicle. Kenneth C. Meyer was arrested a few blocks away. Police say they found a handgun which had been reported stolen in Middleton in his possession. Meyer has been charged with second-degree reckless endangerment.
