Marshfield police say they used bean bag rounds and a police dog to bring a knife-wielding man under control. Police were called after 52-year-old Patrick J. Langreck chased two social workers out of his home while he was holding a knife last Friday. Witnesses say he threw the knife at their car as they drove away, then refused to drop it while he was advancing on the police officers who had responded. Langreck was already on probation. Police are requesting the Wood County District Attorney to file four counts of recklessly endangering safety against Langreck.
