A 27-year-old Black River Falls man faces five criminal charges after a Sunday incident. Police say Ben Paprocki tried to take an officer’s weapon while he was being arrested. Paprocki told the officer he drank a dozen beers and smoked four grams of meth before he was spotted stumbling along a sidewalk. While the suspect’s parole officer was being called, he took off running, and he tried to grab the police officer’s stun gun while they struggled. The officer eventually used the stun gun to control Paprocki — who returns to Jackson County Circuit Court next Monday.
