The Milwaukee community activist accused of planning to firebomb a police district location returns to federal court next month. Vaun Mayes made a court appearance Wednesday to enter a plea of not guilty to arson and firearms charges. Prosecutors say Mayes was going to use Molotov cocktails to set the police building on fire during the 2016 Sherman Park riots. Although no trial has been officially set, it would have to start in the next 60 days, if it is held.
