6-Year-Old Bicycle Rider Dies When Hit By Truck

A six-year-old boy who was hit by a pickup Saturday night has died of the injuries he suffered.  The accident happened in Waukesha at about 9:30 P-M.  Police were told the family had just ridden bicycles to get some ice cream at a nearby Dairy Queen and they were returning home when the accident happened.  The driver of the pickup remained on the scene and has been cooperating with authorities.  The boy was rushed to Waukesha Memorial Hospital, but he didn’t survive.  His name hasn’t been released.
