House Speaker Paul Ryan tells economists the president’s tariffs are a threat to American jobs and international influence. The Wisconsin Republican says we are at risk of having jobs moved overseas. He says the Trump administration has a right to speak out about trade abuses, but he doesn’t think additional tariffs are the answer. Ryan says he wants to spend more time with his kids, so he wouldn’t accept a job in the Trump cabinet if it were offered. He also told reporters he has no plans to run for president.
