A 29-year-old Georgia man has been arrested for allegedly threatening to kill a police officer early Thursday at a bowling alley in Colby. Samuel Lingle apparently got mad when a customer at Bowl Winkle’s refused to buy him a beer when he asked. Witnesses say Lingle threw a stool to the floor, said he had a gun in his pocket, and threatened to kill the man and others. When an officer from the Colby-Abbotsford Police Department tried to restrain him, Lingle called him a racist and made the threat to kill him.
