The Clark County district attorney says no criminal charges will be filed against two law enforcement officers involved in a high-speed chase and a fatal shooting. Deputy Nicholas Klemm and Loyal Police Officer Jacob Schar were cleared last week. The two were involved in the chase, then an exchange of gunfire with 51-year-old Kelly Abbot. The Black River Falls-area man had a felony warrant in his name when Schar tried to conduct a traffic stop. Witnesses say Abbott fired three shots at officers before Schar and Klemm returned fire. Abbott was wounded and died later at Marshfield Medical Center.
