SubFest is this weekend, and on top of all the fun activities put on by the Wisconsin Maritime Museum, there will be one more exciting thing to see. The lighthouse renovations are complete, and according to Manitowoc Mayor Justin Nickels, the public will be able to walk through the 100 year old structure between the hours of 5:00 and 7:00 PM on Saturday. The man responsible for the restoration, Phil Carlucci, will also be on hand for a ribbon cutting ceremony at 6:00 PM. Carlucci invested $300,000 to renovate the historic Manitowoc landmark, and wanted to ensure it would be ready for the yearly Manitowoc celebration of our maritime history.
