The Sheboygan County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of four kayakers in distress in the Town of Russell on Sunday. The report came in at around 2:30 PM, indicating that the group became lost in the Sheboygan Marsh, due to the ever changing conditions affecting layout of the marsh. One of the boaters was able to make it back to the dock, while the other three were towed in by local fire departments. The Sheriff’s Office was assisted on the scene by Elkhart Lake Police and Fire Departments, Kiel Fire Department, Glenbeulah Fire Department, New Holstein Fire Department, St. Anna Fire Department, St. Cloud Fire Department Glenbeulah First Responders, Orange Cross Ambulance, and Mt. Calvary Ambulance.
