A trial date has been set for next year in April for a man accused of murdering his wife 36 years ago. Robin Mendez has entered a not guilty plea. Witnesses were re-interviewed and charges were filed against the Minocqua man in February. The beaten body of Barbara Mendez was found at the credit union where she worked in April 1982. Authorities say producers of the cable television show “Cold Justice” provided additional resources and a new look at the evidence — leading to the arrest.
