A 35-year-old driver admits he had smoke marijuana before crashing his S-U-V into the side of a home in the Village of Newburg last month. Alva Richards tells authorities he also uses gummy candies with cannabidoil to manage a seizure disorder. Authorities say Richards was speeding June 28th when his vehicle was launched 15 feet into the air and became embedded in the home. A person sleeping inside woke up to find he was covered in motor oil. Richards is charged with two felonies. He could serve up to 13 years in prison if he is convicted.
