Tonight at 12:01 AM, the 44th Annual Northeastern Wisconsin Salmon Derby gets underway. WCUB 980 AM Sports Fishing Reporter, Bruce Grossheim gave us a look at how the lake and fish are looking.
The Big Fish Competition is what gets underway tonight, and will run until noon on Sunday. The Super Tournament will be on Saturday from 5:00 AM until noon, where each boat can catch up to 15 fish, with the top 5 being weighed in. Bruce also told us about the Kid’s Derby.
Five people will receive an array of prizes from the top category, which includes a 55 inch RCA HDTV, and five people will also receive prizes from the second through fifth place prize categories. There will be live entertainment as well, with The Charlie Bucket Band playing from 7PM-11PM on Friday, Shocker on Saturday from 7PM-11PM, and Howard and the Blue Gills from Noon-4:00 PM on Saturday.
