Severe thunderstorms containing strong winds & lightning yesterday resulted in the loss of power to over 9,500 customers in northeastern Wisconsin. Matt Cullen with Wisconsin Public Service said repair crews came across ‘significant’ damage, including broken utility poles and downed wires. Areas that experienced the largest number of outages include Wausaukee, Wabeno, Marinette and Green Bay. WPS reported that as of about 9:30 last night, over 11-hundred customers were still without electrical service.
