After 67 years of doing business in downtown La Crosse, Wettstein’s is shutting things down. The retail store and service business will close, but Industrial Automation and Engineering, and Wettstein Brothers Electric won’t be affected. Wettstein’s opened in 1951 and moved to its current location in 1962. It has 35 full- and part-time employees. The store’s ownership says retail and online changes affected the business. The inventory will be liquidated and the doors will close for the final time at the end of August.
