There’s a power-outage this morning on Manitowoc’s northside. A spokesman for Manitowoc Public Utilities told Seehafer News that he began receiving word of the outage shortly before 6:15am from customers living around North 5th & Pine streets, and Lincoln Boulevard. An MPU crew is investigating the source of the problem and hopes to have electrical service restored soon.

We just received an update on the power outage that was experienced this morning on Manitowoc’s north side. According to Key Accounts and Meter Services Manager Daniel Salm at Manitowoc Public Utilities, “About 50 customers were affected in the 900 block of N. 9th Street following a bird contact with high voltage lines.” MPU began receiving reports of the outage at around 5:50 this morning, and crews were able to restore power just before 7:00 AM.
