Shawano County Area Evacuated After Discovery Of Dead Body

The Shawano County Sheriff’s Office evacuated a neighborhood in the Village of Cecil last weekend after a dead body was found.  A deputy reported the discovery of an “unusual material” at the scene which might have been a dangerous, synthetic controlled substance.  A team from the Wisconsin Department of Criminal Investigation was called to help with the decontamination.  The name of the 57-year-old dead man hasn’t been released.  The Shawano County Health Department is involved in returning things to normal at the house where the body was found.
