The Two Rivers Public School District has been selected as one of 37 school Districts from around the state to receive a grant through the Transition Reediness Grant, totaling $48,000. The grant program aims to help school districts who have students with disabilities, help those children plan for life after high school. In order to receive the grant, districts must follow a set of general requirements that relate to the longer-term development and refinement of integrated, community-based transition processes. The program will be distributing $1.5 million during the 2019 fiscal year. The Two Rivers Public School District will also be receiving an Energy Efficiency Excellence Award today for its continued efforts to reduce energy waste in its buildings.
