The Sheboygan Fire Department was called to a structure fire over the weekend. According to0 Battalion Chief Ken Molitor, the call came in at around 5:40 PM on Saturday, describing a fire that had ignited on the exterior deck of a residence, which was beginning to spread into the residence. Ladder 5 was dispatched to the scene, but asked for second level response while en-route. Upon their arrival, the crew found that the blaze had climbed the exterior wall, making its way through the soffit and into the attic. The crews extinguished the blaze, and were cleaned up and off the scene in two hours. On top of structural damage, the electric meter was damaged, causing problems with all the main interior wiring to the home. No injuries were reported, but the fire was estimated to have caused around $100,000 in damages
