Johnson: Trump Admin Isn’t Responsible For Immigration Crisis

Senator Ron Johnson doesn’t think the Trump administration is responsible for the nation’s immigration crisis.  On C-N-N’s “State of the Union,” the Wisconsin Republican and chairman of the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee says the nation’s current policy and legal precedent incentivizes illegal immigration.  Johnson says he is considering sponsoring legislation to address the immigration crisis that would be in addition to existing policies that have not been voted on yet.  He said his committee is in contact with homeland security officials and continues to provide oversight.
