Dane County Executive Joe Parisi and emergency management officials spent Thursday touring the area near Lake Kegonsa observing flood damage. Residents say water has been high in the past, but this damage is the worst they’ve seen. Dave Bursack with Dane County Emergency Management says it’s encouraging to see the way neighbors have teamed up to combat the water. Bursack says “property lines are invisible” and the residents don’t care where the water stops. They just help each other. County officials and the people dealing with the problem are hoping for some sunshine and relief from the rain.
