Manitowoc Psychiatric Clinic Owner Killed in Chicago Crash

The owner of a psychiatric clinic here in Manitowoc died earlier this week in a traffic crash on Chicago’s near northside.  66-year old Diana Lampsa was a passenger in a taxi late Wednesday Night when it was struck by a stolen SUV…which was being pursued by Chicago police.  Lampsa Was pronounced dead at Northwestern Memorial Hospital.  The taxi-driver sustained ‘minor’ Injuries and two ‘pedestrians’ were hospitalized with possible broken legs after being struck on The sidewalk by the speeding vehicle.  Three suspects were taken into custody after the crash. According to an online story in the Chicago Tribune, Lampsa had just attended a play at the Goodman Theatre when she hailed a cab to return to her boyfriend’s Gold Coast residence. Her longtime boyfriend, Kevin Serr, said she dedicated her life to helping others and not just The patients at her psychiatric clinic in Manitowoc, where she employed about 25-people.  She Was known for stopping to help every homeless person she saw. The couple had dated for about 10-years and planned to get married in the fall.
