Brown County has been attempting to curb a rat problem for quite some time now, and they believe this next step may help. The Brown County Board of Supervisors set aside $5,000 to address the problem, and according to Supervisor Bernie Erickson, they were able to purchase more than 1,500 rat traps. The public will be able to pick up some traps for free on Saturday, June 30th, from 9:30 AM until Noon at the Neville Public Museum. The traps are described as “instant kill”, and will be free for citizens of Brown County that have a rat problem in their yard or neighborhood. Citizens are being advised, that if you do kill a rat, to dispose of it using gloves, and to inform the county, by sending an email to rat.county@co.brown.wi.us.
