Milwaukee is one of three remaining finalists among cities wanting to host the 2020 Democratic National Convention. The party’s national committee named four finalists Tuesday, but Denver withdrew after pointing to scheduling conflicts. Emerging victorious over Houston and Miami Beach could mean 50-thousand visitors to the city and an economic impact of 200-million dollars or more. The D-N-C will send a group of officials to Milwaukee in August for a site visit. The final decision will be made in January. The brand new downtown arena is the centerpiece of Milwaukee’s presentation.
